Dear Major Munro,
ith reference to your enquiry as
to the usual allowances which would be payable
from Hong Kong funds to a Wireless Engineer, I
think it best to enclose a copy of our print
Eastern No. 121.
The Wireless Engineer would,
of course, be granted first-class pussages out,
and would be eligible for free quarters or for
rent
a lodging allowance in lieu. The conditions
rent
as to the grant of lodging allowance are shown in
Sections 5 and 6 of the print.
Cl
In addition, there may be local
allowances for out-of-pocket expenses, for
example, conveyance allowance if an officer
is required to use his car on duty.
Yours sincerely,
JAC.
MAJOR J. J. MUNRO.0.B.E.,M.0.
